Recipes for the Cheap way of life

Okay, so as most of you know, I love to cook. I love to back, I love to be in the kitchen. So, I thought what better way to share my love for cooking, than to add some fun easy recipes for everyone to try out. As many of you know, I cook from scratch.. well usually, unless I got a coupon to get a ready made something for free.

So here is my first easy lesson. Its usually cheap, and very Yummy

Peanut Butter Bars

ingredients
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup melted butter
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (plus 4 more tablespoons peanut butter)

Okay, your going to need a big bowl, combine the peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar all together. Now pour all that up into a long pyrex baking dish lined with wax paper. Now melt the chocolate chips with the extra 4 tbls of pb. Pour this over the peanut butter bottom. There you have, it tastes so good, and we even made ours with splenda and Sugar free chocolate chips.

We combine 1 cup splenda and 1 tsp of corn starch, put it in the food processor and it will make some sugar free powdered sugar for the recipes calling for powdered sugar! ( doesnt change a thing and this way, the diabetics can have more options with desserts)

okay, so I hope you all enjoy these as much as we did. Good luck
