Please keep my husband in your prayers
We got a call last night that my husband's father had passed away last Friday, and we just found out. My husband had not seen him in over five years, and its been about that long since he spoke to him, so my husband is having a terrible time dealing with this sudden news right now. Just please if you have time, take a minute and pray for my husband and his family as they are all hurting terribly right now. RIP Mike.

To all my Scott County Friends
I wanted to let all you guys know about the great sale on banana's at Helenwood Foods right now. They have them up front on a cart, and they are .50 for a big bunch. They are already ripe, so you will have to bake bread with them, or let the kiddos and hubby eat them up fast, but for .50 cents a bunch, I will be baking some homemade banana nut bread. Here is a recipe I use for some very yummy bread.
Ingredients needed
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup applesauce
1 1/4 cups mashed bananas
1 cup SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Spray one 9x5 inch loaf pan with non-stick spray coating.
In a large bowl, blend together the eggs, buttermilk, applesauce, and bananas. Sift together the SPLENDA® Granulated Sweetener, flour, baking soda, and salt; mix into banana mixture. Stir in pecans. Spread batter into prepared pan.
Bake 1 hour, or until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
This is my "sugar free" recipe I use off the splenda website , if your trying to watch you weight, or have someone in your family who is a diabetic, this site is a life saver. We are a family who loves sweets, and I bake alot of stuff from scratch, but I make everything I bake with splenda. Hope you enjoy this, I sure do!!

Knorr Lipton side dishes are on sale 10/10. I believe the sunday paper had these a few weeks ago, so if you kept them, these are a great deal as well, cause remember homeland doubles coupons up to 1.00 so wow, thats a great savings if you kept your coupons.
Sauve products are on sale 10/10 and with the .50 off coupons that came out a few weeks ago in the paper, you will get 2 bottles for 1.00.. good price.

My family in Oklahoma
Okay, so you all are going to be seeing some posts on here that are strictly for the Oklahoma readers. My mom in law, and granny in law live in Oklahoma along with my step daughter, and we are trying to help them save money too.. So there will be posts on here so that my mommy in law Deb can look at the site, see what she can get at the stores out there, and go get them. Yay, I can help my family out there too, I am so happy. So it all ads up to be, if you see a post about Homeland, Firelake, Crest, or Albertsons, and you are not familier with it, this is why, its for her. I wish I was still out there, Homeland TRIPLES coupons.. me and Debbie could be stacking up on stuff right now if I was out there.
How many papers do you actually need
Well, this lady over at Moms need to know gives a preview each week of what the coupons coming out are gonna be, and exactly how many papers you will want to get.. I for one loved reading this post, so wanted to pass it along to you all.
Free Yogurt at Wal-Mart
Okay so my friend over at Coupon Mommie just posted a blog that I am sooo excited about. You can go Here and Here to print out your coupons to use at Wal-Mart. Wooo Hooo I am loving me some free stuff. Wal-mart has it on sale right now 4/1.00, so from my understanding, the coupons above make that free... Get to printing people.
Kroger Deals this week
Hey everybody, you need to make sure to get your coupons clipped and organized this weekend because I just checked the add and the Mega sale is still running this week, so that mean if you buy 10 of their items they have selected for the sale, then you get an extra 5.00 off your order immediatly. I have them listed on my side bar, go ahead and go check them out.
Yummy Pizza Casserole
With times being so hard right now, we make alot of casserole's cause they really stretch out and can be eaten for a few meals.
Ingredients
1 bag macaroni noodles (or any noodle you choose, we like these)
2 jars spaghetti sauce (or make your own, I will post recipe for my homemade sauce)
1 pd hamburger meat
pepperoni's
shredded mozzarella cheese
cook macaroni noodles and set aside
cook hamburger meat and add to your spaghetti sauce
now get a big casserole dish
lay down a layer of each
macaroni noodles
meat sauce
pepperoni
do this until you get to the top of the dish, the put cheese on and bake in a 400 degree oven until cheese is nice and bubbly.
Yummy dish, very easy, and if you stockpile, you probably got most of the ingredients already in your home!!

More Johnson's Buddies Soaps
Well, like I already said, we have not been couponing for very long. In the short amount of time that we have been doing it we have got this much of a stock pile of the buddies soap. We would have more if the stores had any in, we have been to three different Wal-Mart stores, and have only found this many, we still got a ton of coupons, enough to double whats in the pick nearly.
So see guys, it pays to get the free stuff. This soap smells so good, I know its for kids, and we do not have any yet, but I will have some soon since we are certified foster parents now, and the little ones will sure enjoy having their own special soaps. So again you need to go here, here, and here to print your coupons. Each one prints a different coupon, so visit each of them, and remember to hit the back button a couple times so you can print a couple of each.

Yummy Strawberry Shortcake Pudding
Here is another really simple, really cheap, yummy dessert I make alot.
INGREDIENTS
1 sponge cake (I buy the .97 box of it, and make my own)
1 large tub cool whip, or dream whip (get whatevers cheapest and what you got coupons for)
1 bag or tub of strawberries (either get a frozen bag, or fresh tub, your choice)
1 container strawberry glaze
2 small boxes of vanilla pudding ( I buy the cheap instant stuff)\
Make pudding, then tear the cake into small pieces. Place cake on bottom of a large pyrex baking dish, then put the pudding on top of that, next place strawberries and glaze ontop of pudding, now put your coolwhip on top of that, mmm mmm.. yummy dessert and really easy. Look at the pic of mine
Tips on How to search store ads
Okay, so Like I said before, you can search threw the store ads online, which I do because Bryan does our shopping when he gets off work because we only have one vehicle.
So you are going to have your coupons organized and clipped before you do this, then you are going to need to look for the ad leaders.. what I mean by that is, the things that are at an all time low. Examples of these are alot of the 10-10 deals. Most of the time these are eye catches the stores use to get you in the store, but these are usually also the things that you got coupons for.
Like for example, Kroger has Green Giant Steamers on sale this week for 1.50 a bag. That alone is a great deal, but match it with the great sale they have going that gives you 5.00 instantly on any of their advertised buy 10 get 5 deals, and then your getting 10 bags for a dollar a bag.. pretty good right?? Wrong, if you got the .50 cents off one coupon like I had, then that will be doubled and you know what your going to be paying? ZERO out of pocket. Now I do not know about you, but thats my kind of veggies.. free ones.
So just make sure your clipping every coupon no matter what, some stuff you might not use, but can get it for free, and donate it to a charity.

Recipes for the Cheap way of life
Okay, so as most of you know, I love to cook. I love to back, I love to be in the kitchen. So, I thought what better way to share my love for cooking, than to add some fun easy recipes for everyone to try out. As many of you know, I cook from scratch.. well usually, unless I got a coupon to get a ready made something for free.
So here is my first easy lesson. Its usually cheap, and very Yummy
Peanut Butter Bars
ingredients
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup melted butter
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (plus 4 more tablespoons peanut butter)
Okay, your going to need a big bowl, combine the peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar all together. Now pour all that up into a long pyrex baking dish lined with wax paper. Now melt the chocolate chips with the extra 4 tbls of pb. Pour this over the peanut butter bottom. There you have, it tastes so good, and we even made ours with splenda and Sugar free chocolate chips.
We combine 1 cup splenda and 1 tsp of corn starch, put it in the food processor and it will make some sugar free powdered sugar for the recipes calling for powdered sugar! ( doesnt change a thing and this way, the diabetics can have more options with desserts)
okay, so I hope you all enjoy these as much as we did. Good luck

My first Couponing Lesson (what the abbreviations mean)
Okay, so My friend taught me some of the lingo for couponing, and it helped out alot.
For example
EQ means internet coupons that can be loaded onto your store cards from the cellfire, p&g, and shortcuts links. These pair with your other coupons, and make for some great savings.
IP means internet printable coupons, this one took me alot of research on alot of different sites to figure it out.
MIR means a mail in rebate
MQ means Manufacturer Coupons (these are the ones you clip out of the papers, get out of the magazines and such.
OOP means the amount of money you paid out of pocket for the items you purchased.
Peelie's these are the coupons that come on items you purchase.. like a coupon off cereal bars when you buy a box of cereal for example. Sometimes these are coupons that are for the item your purchasing and can be used immediatly, or saved for a later use.
Q's Mean Coupons
WAGS is short for Wal-greens (this was another one that took me a while to get.)
RP &SS these are the abbreviations for the Sunday paper coupons. ( my friend says you need to get at least 3-4 papers, even get subscriptions, she gets 4 subscriptions plus she buys extras.. and let me tell you, she is a couponing GOD!!!)
RR goes along with Wal-greens, and it refers to their register rewards program.
BOGO means buy one get one free. these are the real savings, cause you can use a MQ with the BOGO and get both for free or really cheap!!
Okay, so that's a little bit about the lingo.. Hope this helps

Side bar
Hi everyone, I just wanted everyone to know, I got most of my ideas for my sidebar links from Jennifer's blog at coupon mommie. I just wanted to put it all on my blog too, so my family and friends could be able to find the deals easier.
How to use Coupons
Hi, I am new to blogging, but I thought it would be a good idea to set up a blog for my friends and family to look at so that maybe I could teach them what my cool friend over at coupon mommie has taught me.
Like I said, I have never blogged, but I have not been couponing very long either. My new friend has taught me in a few short weeks how to feed my family, and save money.. she is my new idol.
Alot of my posts will be things that Jennifer over at coupon mommie tells me about, that way my friends and family can get the same deals that she has shown me how to get.
I hope these can help everyone, I just wanted to try to do my part for the new addiction I have with couponing.
